Make your own glowing rock science

I put together this fun glowing fossil dig for the kids the other day and after they played I added a fun twist by making glowing rocks to add.

When you add vinegar to the glowing rocks they erupt like when making a volcano. 

They are so simple to make, just make our fake snow play. Then mix in some neon paint to color the snow. After that mold to a rock like shape. I let ours sit out over night so they had a hard feel like rocks, but you don't have to.

NOTE: The rock glow under a black light. You can find a black light in Home Depot or Wal-Mart.

This is a fun science play for the kids. A must try.
